10th Annual Standley Lake Gator Invitational
The Standley Lake Gator Invitational aims to offer the first invitational of the 2026 racing season on a speedy course. Races provide your well-trained athletes with fierce competition, while also giving an opportunity to first-time or returning athletes who may be less conditioned the chance to kickstart their season on an exciting course. High school races will be followed by the 29th Annual Jog in the Bog Community 5K. Throughout the morning, there will be music, games, local business booths with giveaways, food trucks, and more!

Date: Saturday, August 22nd, 2026
Host: Standley Lake High School
Location: Community College Open Space (3705 W 112th Avenue, Westminster, CO 80031)

Registration Entry Fee: $300 combined, $175 per gender
Entries: Entries close on Wednesday, August 20th at 11:00PM local time. Signup on MileSplit.
Race-Day Setup: Bus drop-off and pickup, spectator parking, team camp areas, packet pickup, and other pertinent locations will be shared with coaches closer to the event.
Hospitality: Breakfast will be provided for coaches.
First Aid: An athletic trainer will be present for athletes at the finish line.

8:00AM Boys 5k Varsity (8 entries)
8:05AM Girls 5k Varsity (8 entries)
8:40AM Boys 5k Newcomers (all first time 5k runners, unlimited entries)
8:45AM Girls 5k Newcomers (all first time 5k runners, unlimited entries)
9:20AM Boys 5k Open (unlimited entries)
9:25AM Girls 5k Open unlimited entries)
10:15AM: Jog in the Bog Community 5K
Course: The course will be well-marked. Course monitors will ensure that athletes stay on course. A cyclist/rabbit will guide the first-place runner of each event.
Course composition: 80% packed gravel trails/20% asphalt or concrete.
Results: Live results will be posted by online.
Medals: Top 15 athletes receive medals in the finishing chute in all racing divisions. Top boys and girls teams in the varsity races will receive a plaque.
